The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle  is not a car we’d particularly choose, but this version refined by ABT Sportline definitely deserves more attention from us all. The guys from ABT have reportedly changed its older suspension with a brand new, lowered, sports suspension, along with a two-pipe exhaust system.

The brakes have been improved as well, now equipped with 340×30 mm disks, with painted calipers. The Beetle’s original 2.0-liter TFSI engine has been slightly amped, its output having been increased from the stock 197 HP to 236 HP.

The exterior has undergone a few major changes as well. It has been decked with a 7-piece styling kit that sports brand new taillight covers, headlamps, front spoiler, license plate décor and rear apron with diffuser. The bug has been finished with a brand new set of lightweight alloy wheels, available in 18-, 19- and 20-inch sizes, as well as with a carbon-like black décor kit with red accents here and there.
