We’ve got a lot of work these days, thanks to the Geneva Motor Show. IT seems BMW Group specialist AC Schnitzer has come up with a new tuning program for the third generation BMW X5, codenamed F15. The tuner has prepared six performance tunes for the X5, mostly engine upgrades: the M50d diesel now shoots out 430PS (424hp) – up from the standard 381PS (376hp) – and the 50i V8 turbocharged petrol engine now develops 525PS (518hp) – up from 450PS (444hp). More details available at the Swiss event.
Let’s talk ride quality: the AC Schnitzer sports suspension spring kit has lowered the ride height by 30 mm (front) and 20 mm (rear), while customers may opt out for 20-, 21- and 22-inch wheels available in different styles and colors. On the design side, the BMW features new front skirt and rear aprons, an integrated rear diffuser and different tail pipe finishers for the outside, and aluminum pedals and foot rest, together with a key-holder and foot mats for the cabin. I have to say I love the color!
