I’m not really a fan of SUVs in particular; I think they’re bulky, fuel consuming and pretty much useless as 4×4 vehicles. So, what’s the point of buying one? The latest BMW X5 is looking pretty good and has received good reviews regarding its maneuverability and overall performance, but I guess it needs more glamour to get the attention it apparently deserves. Hamann agrees, which is why the tuner has recently revealed an exterior makeover.
The BMW sports a discreet yet stylish look, due to the fact that its body parts have been either blacked out or custom built out of naked carbon, such as new, lower front and rear bumpers, lower, more aggressive side skirts and a rear spoiler. Customers may choose out of a wide offer of wheel options, so you won’t necessarily get stuck with the ones you see here. The BMW may have its engine tuned if the customers wishes so: a remapped ECU will enable the xDrive 30d to develop 295 hp and 605 Nm, instead of 258 hp and 560 Nm. I might be persuaded to change my mind.
