There’s something weird and unusual about a Ducati bike with a “café-racer” nickname. The Ducati 1199 Panigale S modified by Dutch custom workshop Moto Puro should, however, make up for it. This sizzling hot, luxurious café-racer based on the acclaimed and much appreciated Ducati 1199 Panigale S is really looking worthy of praise
The Moto Puro Elite II bike is a tribute to the 1959 Ducati 200 Elite, which inspired the tuning garage to transform the Panigale the way they did. The new Ducati Elite II seems to feature no relation to the 1199 Panigale super-bike, but it doesn’t matter any more, does it? New front panels have been fabricated, as well as a new base-pan for the custom suede seat and a rear hump. The rear section has been completely hand-made in-house, including the amazing new tubular trellis sub-frame.
The ducati now features wire-spoked wheels courtesy of Kineo, shod with high-performance tubeless tires. There’s also a custom front fender, but the USD fork, the brakes have remained untouched. The original headlights have been replaced with a round, retro looking unit. The Dutch CNC masters DPNS are responsible for all the aluminium bits and pieces fitted onto the new café-racer.
The QD custom exhaust has been replaced with the Termignoni one, while MW-Design have provided the Ducati with this exquisite paint job, with deep, dark red and mirror chrome. The magnesium engine covers and gold anodized Ohlins forks fit the over-all look of the bike. I’m just wondering how it sounds.
