Another renowned German aftermarket specialist has delighted our eyes at the 2012 Essen Motor Show – ABT Sportsline. Among their projects we’ve caught sight of the tuning program for the Audi A5 Coupé.

The superb car has been gifted with all sorts of aerodynamic upgrades, enhancing its sportiness, performance and efficiency. A plethora of parts have been installed throughout the car, starting with a front lip spoiler, rear skirt, rear spoiler, quad pipe exhaust system, fenders inserts and side skirts. In addition, the A5 has been fitted with lowered suspension springs, a set of CR or DR alloy wheels and coilover kit.

The performance side of the upgrade package is even more intriguing, being applicable to the entire A5 lineup. The output of the 1.8-liter TFSI engine, the smallest of the lot, has been increased to 211 HP, 41 HP better than the stock mode. The muscles of the 2.0-liter TFSI engine have been improved from 211 HP to a surprising 270 HP.

The 2.0-liter Turbodiesel version has also been upgraded, its output having been upped from 177 HP to 205 HP. And there’s also the 3.0-liter diesel present here, rounding out the range of A5’s diesel motorizations, with an output increased by 55 HP, from a stock 245 HP to a nice 300 HP.

And here comes the king, the cherry on the cake version – the AS5 3.0-liter gasoline engine, which, as stock, delivers 272 HP. Well, this number has long been forgotten the beast now being able to develop as much as 380 HP. Quite nice, eh?
