The Ford Fiesta ST is one of the prettiest hot hatchbacks out there, and I love hot hatchbacks! Sure, we all compare every ride in this class to the Golf GTI, but the Fiesta is quite attractive. So much so that Dutch garage Hertz enhanced the Ford model with a Lotus F1-inspired black-and-gold livery. Since the tuner has experience in working on Ford cars, expectation are high; Hertz and Carroll Shelby teamed up to develop the exclusive Ford Mustang GT350H for the so-called ‘rent-a-racer’ program of the late 1960s.
Hertz customized the Ford Fiesta ST and added those gold powder coated alloys. Officially dubbed Fiesta ST-H, the small-class turbocharged Ford will join incredible machines as part of the Hertz Dream Collection: a Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 911 (991), Bentley Continental GT and then some. That is impressive, considering we’re dealing with a hatchback powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, and it has been left untouched. Developing 180 hp, the engine enables the Ford to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.9 seconds and top out at 139 mph (224 km/h).
