Hennessey Performance has unveiled its latest tuning program; this time it’s all about the 2015 Ford Mustang. The Texas garage has equipped the Mustang with a carbon fiber bodywork including new bumpers, side skirts and a small boot lid spoiler. Also worth mentioning is that set of lightweight 20-inch alloys and a rear diffuser. Please note that the standard Mustang GT 5.0-liter V8 engine develops 420 bhp (313 kW).
However, the engine has been heavily modified and now generates 717 bhp (535 kW) and 856 Nm (632 lb-ft) of torque. The tuner has fitted the Mustang with a new supercharger, a new stainless steel exhaust system, uprated fuel injectors and pumps and ECU update. Furthermore, the new and improved ride now does 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, with now info on its top speed. According to Hennessey, this Mustang will do the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph (210 km/h).
All good and well, but the fact of the matter is that only 500 examples will be made, starting at 59,500 USD (47,200 EUR) including the cost of the base car. Not bad!
