According to Automotive News, the Grand Prix of Long Beach has a new sponsor for the race’s 45th year. After parting ways with longtime title sponsor Toyota, the Long Beach Grand Prix will be sponsored by Acura.
The Japanese automaker will also collaborate with the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach to redesign the race’s logo. Acura Vice President Jon Ikeda said the company is trying to tie everything together between the brand, marketing, and their partner dealers, which will help to promote the race. Ikeda also has a personal history with the Grand Prix, because he attended the race as a young car enthusiast.
