Harley Sportster “Bomb Runner” by Rough Crafts

The Bomb Runner is a staggering 2-wheeler which was recently put together by an acclaimed Taiwan-based manufacturer of custom motorcycles, Winston Yeh, from Rough Crafts.  This comes as a secondary bike in the “Guerilla” series, boasting the signature of Rough Crafts, all sorts of parts and a blacked-out look, but a somewhat different design.

The bike which stands at the base of the Bomb Runner is a 2011-model Sportster Forty-Eight 1200, but with a distinctive silhouette, tail section and higher rear shocks. It also features a partial modified frame and a much more aggressive lean-forward design.

Yeh describes: “We’ve tried to enhance every part of the bike without making anything stand out too much. I believe that every part should add to the whole bike, instead of having some parts that pop out too much.”

The old Forty-Eight has been radically improved, in our opinion, thanks to Yeh, with the black controls from Performance Machine, the Black Ops wheels from Roland Sands Design and the plethora of other components by Rough Crafts, which also add to the project’s top quality.

The rocker, clutch covers, wasp-like raised tail section, the 2-in-1 exhaust system, tank, fenders and tripe trees are all signed Rough Crafts. The designer, Winston Yeh, further describes: “It’s a mix of a bobber, a cafe racer and a street fighter. An urban street machine for you to ride around town on.”
