It’s a bit strange to discover tuning packages for bulky SUVs; it seems pointless to me and a waste of money. But I guess there are those fo you who enjoy pimping up their Escalades and what not. So, I’m here to tell you that Hennessey has revealed a power kit for the new 2013 Lexus LX 570, which is called the HPE500.

The Hennessey Lexus LX 570 is powered by the same 5.7-liter V8 engine, but after fitted with a supercharged package the output of the Lexus was  rated at 500 hp and a massive 718 Nm of torque – this is 117 hp and 172 Nm of torque more than the stock specs of the SUV. Furthermore, Hennessey also fitted the Lexus with bespoke fuel injectors, a sport air filter and a re-programmed ECU.

So, you may be feel safe and comfortable in this Lexus, but is it fast? Well, after all these mods the Lexus is now able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. Hennessey specialist have stated that the Lexus is able to run the quarter mile in 14.6 seconds at a top speed of 98 mph. Hennessey hasn’t announced a price tag for their performance kit, but keep an eye on the horizon, and possibly later updates.
