Two German icons, bike builder Marcus Waltz and motorcycle parts and accessories retailer Louis have teamed up for an amazing motorcycle, dubbed as the Louis 75th Anniversary Ducati Sport 1000. It’s a Ducati Sport 1000, of course, turned into a “cafe fighter” that looks extremely aggressive, yet still really clean and simple.
The rear sub frame, seat and tank of this bike have been reworked, made in hand beaten aluminum, reducing the bike’s weight a bit and also adding to its functionality. With a new, custom, Akrapovic exhaust system and a rear shock from Ohlins, the Louis Ducati has lost more than 20 kg or about 44 lbs.
The list of updates from Waltz continues with: Hypermotard oil lines and careful rewiring, Brembo calipers on Lucas rotors, LSL bars, a Ducati 999R Ohlins fork, SBK clutch with an Ergal clutch cover, a Louis headlight and a new set of Akront wheels wrapped in Metzeler Racetrec K3 tires.
This custom bike will tour the Louis stores in 2013 and will be eventually auctioned for charity.
