Novitec Tridente has been working on a unique project. It’s not every day you hear about a tuned-up Maserati, especially when it’s the Quattroporte model. Starting with the range-topping Quattroporte GTS, the twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine under the bonnet now develops 605 PS (445 kW) and 820 Nm (604 lb-ft) of torque, enabling the luxury sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 318 km/h (197 mph).

The Maserati  Quattroporte S hasn’t been left out, as owners may order an auxiliary control unit; this enables the engine to output 476 PS (350 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque. Detailed performance specifications aren’t available at this time, but the tuner stated that all-wheel models will do 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Even diesel owners can rejoice, as the 3.0-liter unit can be tuned to produce 322 PS (237 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque and they will be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. customers may also opt out from a variety of carbon fiber parts, such as a front spoiler and aerodynamic side skirts or a sport-tuned suspension and 22-inch alloys. Who would buy a diesel-version Maserati?
