Mcchip Pumps The BMW M2 To 450 HP
BMW M2 With 370 hp on offer courtesy of its turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six, the BMW M2 is fast. Still, for those who crave even more power, German tuners Mcchip have the solution for this car.
Starting with the engine, there is a modified turbocharger capable of delivering more boost. The ECU has been remapped, custom downpipes have been fitted and a high-flow 200-cell catalytic converter replaced the stock item.
This results for Mcchip in power rising to 445 hp and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, making Mcchip-DKR’s M2 more potent than an M4. The tuner has also developed a new intercooler, and fitting it brings the tally up to 450 hp and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of twisting power.
To enjoy the entire package, customers will have to part ways with USD$9,000. Which is still cheaper than a base-spec M4.
