Mercedes Benz GLC Coupe SUVs are becoming a reality for several companies and after the X6-endangering GLE, Mercedes-Benz have decided to go through their lineup and use the same philosophy for a smaller model deemed to replace the GLK and compete with the X4 – the GLC.
The GLC is still a concept, but we do know several things already. First of all it is called a “near-production-standard study”, which means that the car we should see on the streets within the following year should be pretty similar to what we can see in the images. We also know that it will be powered by a 3 l V6 familiar from the C450 AMG Sport paired up with a 9G-Tronic transmission and 4Matic drive. There is no official information about the performance, but with 367 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque of the said engine it is sure to be a lively machine.
Speaking of the design, the creases on the hood, new form of the LED headlights, large intakes and cool exhaust pipes are all great and expected on the production model, but we have to say that we don’t expect it to wear the 21” wheels we can see on the concept.
