The German tuners at VÄTH have recently presented an exciting tuning program for the elegant Mercedes E500, named V50S. They’ve placed huge loads of top notch leather in the shape of upholstery inside the car, a brand new sports steering wheel, wood and carbon fiber trims and a speedometer that rather optimistically tops out 224 mph – 360 km/h.

The car boasts with many changes in appearance as well, consisting of a new carbon fiber body kit that includes a redesigned grille, a spoiler mounted on the trunk and a new front spoiler. A brand new set of 20 inch alloy wheels ensure a smooth ride for the driver, along with a retuned suspension.

The E500’s performance has undergone extensive improvements as well – at first, a reprogrammed ECU had to be added, alongside a charge air cooling system. Thus, the car’s twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8 engine now develops a whopping 513 HP (382 kW) and 810 Nm (597 lb-ft) of torque.

Thanks to the modifications, the Mercedes V50S can reach a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds. The entire V50S tuning package for the Mercedes E500 will draw €32,250 out of the pockets of customers (£25,540 / $40,400), with VAT still to be added.
