Great news from Hennessey Performance! The American tuners took the world by storm a while ago with their breathtakingly fast, Lotus-based, Venom GT, and now they’re taking it to the next level with the Venom GT2, a supercar that’s apparently in the works right now.

The Venom GT had an impressive power output of 1,200 HP but the Venom GT2 will make it look slow with exactly 1,500 Horsepower! This massive power output comes from a 7.0L twin turbo V8 engine and it’s attainable running plebian E85 pump gas. The GT2 will weight around 1,500 kg so that means it will have an incredible power to weight ratio of one horsepower per each kg it carries.

The new Hennessey Venom GT2 will also be available with a seven speed paddle shift transmission, a bit more room thanks to a double-bubble roof and a couple of aerodynamic improvements that will take this car’s drag coef. from 0.44 to 0.42. We’ll have to wait another year until we’ll be able to see this four wheel masterpiece on the streets, due to be launched late in 2013.

The 2014 Venom GT2 will have a sticker price of $1.25 million and in case you’ll want that fancy seven speed paddle shift transmission you’ll have to pay an extra $165,000 for this option.
