Wimmer RS have recently unveiled a brand new upgrade package for the Porsche 997 GT2 RS. Aimed towards a limited number of Porsche owners who want to work out their cars’ muscles, the package consists of a load of engine upgrades as well as a few stunning improvements in appearance.
The 3.6-liter 6 cylinder engine on the 997 GT2 RS was fitted with new connecting rods, optimized turbochargers, new camshafts, a new fuel pump, 200-cell sport catalysts, pistons, new timing chains, crankshaft and has had its ECU reprogrammed. The resulting output is simply astonishing – a humongous 1,006 HP and 1,108 Nm of torque, ready to stick the driver to his seat.
The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h has remained exactly like the stock model’s, 3.4 seconds, although the upgraded version has reached 200 km/h a bit quicker, in 8.7 seconds, and 300 km/h in just 15.5 seconds. The stock version needs a whopping 28.9 seconds to reach the 300 km/h barrier, thus these improvements have all done well to the car. Able to reach a fine 330 km/h in stock mode, the Porsche 997 GT2 RS reaches a massive 389 km/h with these upgrades on.
In addition to the performance upgrades, the car was also fitted with a brand new set of 19 inch alloy rims shod in high performance rubbers, baby blue foil wrap with a superb checkered decoration around the Wimmer RS logo and KW adjustable suspension kit.
