The new SEAT Leon Cupra is supposed to be the fastest sports hatch around the Nurburgring track in Germany; I don’t know, I haven’t tried it. The 280 hp menacing ride is definitely sexy, and interesting. I tried out the previous version of Leon, and I loved every second of it! German tuning specialists JE Design was not satisfied, so here we are, talking about their latest project.
The tunre worked their magic on the 2-liter TSI turbo engines, and managed to get it to 350 hp, 70 more than the stock version, and 440 Nm of torque (325 lb-ft). so, the Seat now sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than before. It will cost you €1,899, but if you’re willing to spend more, the tuner will provide a KW coil-over suspension which lowers the ride’s height by 45 mm – €2,299, or lowering springs for original shock absorbers that will get you 35 mm closer to the road – €236.
Furthermore, the Seat was equipped with a sports exhaust system with quad pipes, with optional carbon fiber tips, a new front spoiler and two carbon fiber side skirts. The car sits on 19-inch wheels with 235/35 R19 tires. So, we got a SEAT almost as fast as an Audi S3, with pretty much the same price-tag; I guess it’s all a matter of taste. What’s your choice?
