The MTM garage has released a power package for the third generation Skoda Octavia vRS. The German tuner fiddled around under the bonnet, where the four-cylinder 2.0-liter TSI petrol engine was hiding. In its standard configuration, it will generate 220 HP (162 kW), but modifications have enabled it to develop 304 HP (224 kW). The Meteor Grey Octavia vRS now features an Apple Green matte stripe package from Autofolierung Zapp.
If you’re excited already, get a load of this: the rumored Skoda Octavia vRS+ might be in developemnt right now, as part of the 40th anniversary of the 130 RS. Scheduled for 2015, the more potent yet still front-wheel drive Skoda will probably offer 280 HP (206 kW) via its Volkswagen Golf R-sourced 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine. Also part of the package will probably be a quad-pipe exhaust system and a limited slip differential; 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) will be dealt with in 6 seconds, while top speed is yet a mistery.
