Mentioned for the first time between the 1980s and the 1990s, steampunk is a genre that includes elements of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history and speculative fiction in a setting based on steam technology. The style is pretty much obvious in a lot fields, but lately it has been applied to the automotive world as well, such as this Mini Countryman Steampunk project.
The images you see picture the newest project signed Carlex Design, a company that’s apparently one of the most popular Polish tuning firms. The car features a two tone color scheme, consisting of a bronze tone and matte grey, while its windows have been tinted in black.
The interior is quite a stunner, including features that truly demonstrate the car’s steampunk theme: an amalgam of classic shades of brown leather, wood trim and bronze metal accents are easy to spot throughout, while the seats and steering wheel have been decked with see-through panels that show off complicated gear systems.
It’s something that we’ve haven’t seen before and we’re therefore welcoming the initiative of Carlex Design in putting together such automotive jewelry. Bravo!
