Volkswagen Golf R by ABT

The hot hatch segment is probably my favorite scene out there; don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say no to some awesome cars out there, but in my mind these type of cars are the perfect melange between coolness and practicality. But when a  tuning garage works its magic on the hottest hatchback out there, the Golf, than you better pay attention, son! German specialists ABT added a sports catalytic converter, an ABT exhaust system and, and a new ECU map which enabled the  two-liter turbo engine to deliver 400 hp to all four wheels.

ABT has been quiet about performance numbers, but they did mention that this Golf R can easily reach a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). And, with the height-adjustable suspension, which brings the ride closer to the pavement – front axle, between 10 and 40 mm and rear axle, between 20 and 45 mm, fitted onto the car you know it’s gonna keep true. Customers may opt out for ABT wheels that come in either 19- or 20-inch size.

Inside the cabin, everything looks beautiful and restrained; the tuner fitted the Golf with floor mats and door entry sills, as well as a set of exterior enhancements. The list is comprised of a front grille, headlight covers, mirror covers, side skirts and a tailgate add-on element. So, as I was saying, this is one of the hottest cars out there, all you need is cash and fuel to enjoy it.
