The Oettinger garage has introduced an expanded tuning program for the already gorgeous and impressive Volkswagen Golf R. On the styling front, the hot hatch may feature a new front spoiler, revised side skirts and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. Customers may also opt out for high-performance brakes, a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system and 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels.

Under the bonnet, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine has been equipped with a larger turbocharger and an optimized ECU, enabling the power-plant to develop 400 PS (294 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque – an increase of 100 PS (73 kW) and 120 Nm (88 lb-ft) of torque from the stock numbers. This means the Golf will now accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds and reach a top speed of about 280 km/h (174 mph). The tuner also offers a more tamed Golf version, with output of 360 PS (264 kW) and 380 PS (279 kW). But who would want to buy that?
