The initiative of Heico Sportiv has had us completely baffled – the tuning brand has recently decided to honor one of its most important partners with a one off special edition car. The brand they’ve targeted is the famous tire maker Pirelli, while the car is a gorgeous Volvo V40.
The compact hatchback was garnished this way on the occasion of Pirelli’s 50 years of existence in Germany and a whopping 110 years of doing their business in Breuberg, where the Italian brand has a factory. They’ve been close partners since 2009. The Volvo V40 Pirelli Edition was fitted with a stunning-looking black paintjob with contrasting red stripes running under the doors and the front apron, alongside Pirelli badging. They’ve also added a front spoiler and a rear skirt that looks like a diffuser, with new quad tailpipes. The newborn car rides on 30 mm lowered suspension modules and a brand new set of alloy wheels measuring 19 inches in diameter, wrapped in 235/35R19 Pirelli P Zero tires.
The cabin boasts with a similar theme, with red touches on the sports steering wheel, handbrake handle and gear-shift. There’s also a new piano-black speedometer casing and central console, while the floor got garnished with velour floor mats with embossed tire-tread profiles. In addition, customers are able to opt for additional engine and fitting configurations. For example, the car we’ve featured sports a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine tuned to deliver 197 HP and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque, considerably more than the original 148 HP and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque.
The results speak for themselves – the Volvo V40 T3 Pirelli Edition is able to sprint from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just around 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph). Compared to the stock car’s 8.8 seconds acceleration and 210 km/h (130 mph) top speed, it’s quite a lot better. Check out the gallery we’ve prepared for you!
