Whenever I hear the words Dodge and Challenger in the same sentence, you know I be excited! So, when I found out that, following a teaser last month, Dodge has officially unveiled the Mopar Challenger at SEMA you can imagine I was as giddy as a schoolgirl – so to speak.
This is the Holy Grail of muscle-car enthusiasts, since this Dodge Challenger has been described as the rarest limited-production Challenger model announced to date, and since it features the Mopar name.. well, ’nuff said! The Mopar Challenger features a Bright White or Gloss Black exterior with Mopar Blue body stripes, a satin black shaker hood and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The special edition also includes a Black Vapor grille surround, a black fuel-filler door and a gloss black rear spoiler. Note: I want the all-black version, please!
It seems that there’s a limited number of interior changes – doesn’t really matter to me – but the Challenger has been fitted with Nappa leather sport seats with Mopar Blue contrast stitching and embroidered “Omega M” logos. You’ll also enjoy on the inside a three-spoke steering wheel, a pistol-grip shifter and an individually-numbered dash plaque.
Good news: The Mopar Challenger will go up for order in March and deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2014. Owners will also receive a personalized owner’s kit that includes a Mopar-branded key fob, a Mopar brochure, Mopar memorabilia and other customized items crafted with the serial number of each vehicle. So, as of this moment, I’m accepting donations!
