One of the highlights of the 2013 Geneva Motor Show was this stunning Audi R8 GTR modified by the experienced hands of ABT Sportsline aftermarket specialists.
The brand has reportedly focused on the facelift model of Audi R8, the Plus version, powered by a 5.2-liter FSI V10 engine that delivers 550 HP (404 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. If customers decide they want more oomph, ABT is able to reach the output of the engine up to 620 HP (456 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque.
The performance figures are quite respectable as well – the stock R8 V10 sprints from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds, while the ABT-modified model is able to do it in just 3.2 seconds. The top speed of the standard model is 193 mph (311 km/h), while the version encompassing the ABT modifications won’t stop until it reaches 202 mph (325 km/h).
In terms of appearance, the kit comprises carbon fiber parts like side skirts, front and rear aprons, rear wing and hood, alongside a fully adjustable front splitter. The ABT-tuned Audi R8 V10 tips the scales at just 1,515 kg (3,340 lbs) – this means 110 kg (242 lbs) less than the stock car. The package further includes a coilover sports suspension system with adjustable dampers, a sports stainless steel exhaust system and a set of brand new alloys which measure 19 inches in diameter.
