Hennessey Mustang HPE750 Speed Test

A while ago we were presented with the Hennessey Mustang HPE750. As all other Hennessey cars, this one was also significantly improved compared to the factory model. It features a new front splitter, side skirts and rare lip spoiler; its runs on lightweight 19-inch or 20-inch wheels and it has Brembo brakes.

Under the hood it packs a 5 l V8 with loads of improvements such as better air induction, injectors and fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust system and a 2.9 l supercharger.

At the time of its presentation John Hennessey said that the car’s power output would exceed 770 horsepower and that it would reach more than if than 200 mph. And he was incredibly accurate with his well informed assumption. The engine provides the power output of 774 horsepower and, as you can see individual below, on the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Texas it reached 207.9 miles per hour.

Having in mind that Hennessey always seems that puts his money where his mouth is we have no reason to doubt the other official performance figures which state that its reaches 60 in 3.4 seconds and that ¼ mile run takes 10.9 seconds at the speed of 133 miles per hour.
