Volkswagen Polo WRC Street by MTM

I’m lovin’ the new Volkswagen Polo models! They look cool and drive like a dream; don’t even get me started on the Volkswagen Polo WRC Street. It’s asewome! But, MTM wasn’t as excited as I was about the car, so they’ve announced plans to introduce a new tuning program for the Volkswagen rally car at the Essen Motor Show. Oh, yeah!

I’m quite intrigued as to what would the tuner modify and how; for the moment it’s looking virtually identical to the standard model. But the MTM Polo WRC has been equipped with a Clubsport chassis, KW shock absorbers and a high-performance braking system. The car also features special badging and 18-inch alloy wheels with Continental ContiSportContact 5 P tires.

The MTM modified Volkswagen is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 315 HP (231 kW) – an increase of 95 HP (70 kW), which can only mean more fun! This enables the hot hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 4 seconds and reach a top speed of  260 km/h (161 mph). And if that doesn’t get you excited, MTM are thinking of offering you a 380 HP (279 kW) variant. How’s that for rally car?!
